If you are interested in the history of this area, it is definitely a "do it" - it is on the main road to the south and does not take much time - you should definitely take a headlamp with you

Interesting and historical visit to the ruins of the fort, do not miss the visit to the cold war bunkers that are located under the old fortress.

You can clearly see from the road between Malborghetto and Ugovizza, the only flaw would be to be treated more

Achtung!
Beleuchtung und Trinkwasser ist Pflicht!
Innerhalb des Bunkers gibt’s keinen Empfang- also gehe niemals allein da hinein.
Fort Hensel is worth a visit! History lessons at your fingertips ... the perfect location for explorers and curious people.
Access to the huge bunker is legal and possible on your own responsibility.
Caution!
Lighting and drinking water is mandatory!
There is no reception inside the bunker so never go in there alone.
If you don't have a good sense of direction, you could get a little confused in the large bunker system.
Should that happen:
Always take stairs up - never down.
Those who climb up find out.
Keep Calm.
Visits are more useful in winter.
In summer everything is extremely overgrown and you can no longer see some buildings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warto się tu wybrać. Krótka wycieczka z widokami na Alpejskie szczyty. Parking bezpłatny. Blisko restauracja z której można podziwiać fort z dołu. Polecam
It is worth going here. A short trip with views of the Alpine peaks. Free parking. Near the restaurant with a view of the fort from the bottom. I recommend

Very interesting historical walk, suggestive bunker that can also be used by children. The path is not taken care of, it is not adequately marked, a real shame not to enhance this open-air "museum".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bella e breve passeggiata storica.
Nice and short historical walk. Convenient street parking. It's worth a stop. There are signs on the site that explain the history of the fort with practical QR codes. The latter lead to an interactive site with audio guides to listen to. Do not miss the view towards the south: Jof di Miezegnot, M. Piper and Due Pizzi.
