8x5 - marmo intagliato e scolpito In posizione di preminenza prospettica rispetto al contesto cittadino, davanti alla sede municipale, obelisco stilizzato con base poligonale dedicato ai caduti di tutte le guerre. Un pilastro rettangolare, definito su ciascun lato da sezioni di colonne sormontate da un capitello ionico, poggia sull'alto basamento cruciforme che reca quattro epigrafi commemorative con elenco dei caduti; due larghi nastri a rilievo bipartiscono il fusto sottolineando, rispettivamente, la sommità e il punto mediano dove è riportata l'iscrizione dedicata ai caduti della Grande Guerra. La scelta tipologica della colonna (simbolo emblematico nella retorica della
romanità imperiale celebrata dal fascismo) appare qui smorzata, stemperata entro il razionalismo delle forme lineari su cui ha influito lo scorrere del tempo e la datazione che si può considerare avanzata. (FM) Lungo la colonna, a destra:

 Monument Dedicated to the Fallen Forio ... Piazza Municipio - Obelisk
8x5 - carved and sculpted marble In a position of perspective prominence with respect to the city context, in front of the town hall, a stylized obelisk with a polygonal base dedicated to the fallen of all wars. A rectangular pillar, defined on each side by sections of columns surmounted by an Ionic capital, rests on the high cruciform base that bears four commemorative epigraphs with a list of the fallen; two wide ribbons in relief divide the shaft by highlighting, respectively, the top and the middle point where the inscription dedicated to the fallen of the Great War is reported. The typological choice of the column (emblematic symbol in the rhetoric of
imperial Romanity celebrated by fascism) appears here softened, diluted within the rationalism of linear forms influenced by the passage of time and the dating that can be considered advanced. (FM) Along the column, on the right:
