Interessante sapere che è alimentata dall'acqua che arriva fin dall'antichità dalla Fonte Remonda, sorgente d'acqua potabile. La fontana Vecchia fu costruita nel 1563 per dare un punto di prelievo pubblico di acqua al popolo, evitando così che la popolazione usasse l'acqua della Fontana del Nettuno che era ad uso esclusivo di Palazzo d’Accursio.
The characteristic Fontana Vecchia is located on the side of the Palazzo Comunale d'Accursio in Via Ugo Bassi. Interesting to know that it is fed by the water that arrives since ancient times from the Source Remonda, source of drinking water. The Vecchia fountain was built in 1563 to give a point of public water withdrawal to the people, thus avoiding that the population used the water of the Fontana del Nettuno which was for the exclusive use of Palazzo d’Accursio.
