Il felice connubio creatosi tra l'artista che voleva esprimere la sua creatività e l'amministrazione comunale guidata dal Sindaco Carlo Tarantino, ha dato vita ad una serie di opere scultoree che abbelliscono il centro cittadino e alcune frazioni rurali. L'arte crea, ma è necessario che qualcuno ne comprenda l'essenza e le dia possibilità di esprimersi. Grazie a questa stretta collaborazione e alla lungimiranza di chi amministra e decide, il nostro piccolo centro può godere della fontana monumentale dell'elefante e di tante altre opere in pietra che il maestro Di Consoli ha elaborato e messe in opera per il lustro della nostra Rotonda.
It is one of the many masterpieces of the master Giuseppe Di Consoli, formed by observing, in his adolescence, the works of the great masons of the 'Rotondo school'. The happy union created between the artist who wanted to express his creativity and the municipal administration led by the Mayor Carlo Tarantino, gave life to a series of sculptures that embellish the city center and some rural hamlets. Art creates, but it is necessary for someone to understand its essence and give it the opportunity to express itself. Thanks to this close collaboration and to the foresight of those who manage and decide, our small town can enjoy the monumental elephant fountain and many other stone works that the master Di Consoli has developed and implemented for the luster of our Rotonda. .
