★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La fontana del Sebeto è una delle fontane monumentali di Napoli costruita nel 1635 per volere del vicerè Emanuele Funica e Fonseca. La statua rappresenta la personificazione del fiume Sebeto rappresentato da un vecchio disteso su di un fianco, lateralmente vi sono due tritoni con con recipienti che raccolgono l’acqua. La statua è collocata in Largo Sermoneta all’inizio del lungomare di Napoli da Posillipo.
The Sebeto fountain is one of the monumental fountains of Naples built in 1635 at the behest of the viceroy Emanuele Funica and Fonseca. The statue represents the personification of the Sebeto river represented by an old man lying on his side, laterally there are two tritons with containers that collect the water. The statue is located in Largo Sermoneta at the beginning of the Naples seafront from Posillipo.
