★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da internet leggo "Fontana del Drago, cosi’ chiamata poiché dalla roccia spunta la testa di un drago dalla cui bocca sgorga l' acqua. Quest’opera è stata anche realizzata dallo scultore Ignazio Marabitti che fu abile a sfruttare le risorse del luogo con il quale riusci’ a creare un effetto scenico alquanto suggestivo.Dalla vasca centrale si diparte una elegante scalinata, mentre l'area della piattaforma è definita da un lungo sedile con spalliera in stile barocco I putti sono disposti a piramide attorno alla testa del Drago. Sotto i piedi di un putto è situata una lapide in marmo bianco i cui versi esaltano l’utilita’ dell’acqua."
Io mi sono fermata
con il camper proprio davanti, dall'altro lato della strada. È un punto tranquillo e anche se in discesa, molto comodo, con alberi, una vista gradevole e la fontana è davvero carina. Un posticino ideale per fermarsi, riposarsi un attimo facendo uno spuntino, magari fare un paio di foto e riprendere il viaggio.
From the internet I read "Fontana del Drago", so called because the head of a dragon protrudes from the rock from whose mouth water gushes in. This work was also realized by the sculptor Ignazio Marabitti who was able to exploit the resources of the place with the which managed to create a striking scenic effect. From the central pool an elegant stairway branches off, while the area of the platform is defined by a long baroque seat with espaliers. The putti are arranged in a pyramid around the head of the Dragon. the feet of a putto is a white marble plaque whose verses enhance the usefulness of water. "
I stopped
with the camper right in front of you, on the other side of the road. It's a quiet spot and although downhill, very comfortable, with trees, a nice view and the fountain is really pretty. An ideal place to stop, relax for a while, have a snack, maybe take a couple of photos and resume your journey.
