Qui è stata costruita l'Amerigo Vespucci, e qui è stata varata il 25/05/2019 la più moderna delle navi militari della marina italiana , la LHD landig Helicopter Dock, multipurpose, con grande ponte porta elicotteri e bacini interno per sbarco e imbarco mezzi d'assalto o soccorso. Il varo a cui è intervenuto il Presidente Mattarella, il premier Luigi Di Maio,non è solo una mera operazionemeccanica , ma esso coinvolge tutta la città in quanto non c'è famiglia che non abbia qualcuno nel cantiere, riscatto sociale quindi, per qualità del lavoro e bravura delle maestranze, che vivono con grande intensità emotiva l'ìevento historic shipyard built by the Bourbons. Tutti noi abbiamo condiviso le emozioni di tutta la bellissima cerimonia, mi venne in mente quello che succede quando nasce un bambino staccandosi dal cordone ombelicale. Tutto il personale siete l’eccellenza della Campania e d’Italia.Complimenti. Giuseppe Sallusto The launch of this ship reminds me of when I came for a guided tour together with Professor Teresiano Scafarto and fifty students from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Cassino and saw the launch of Leonardo Lembo. We all shared the emotions of the whole beautiful ceremony, I was reminded of what happens when a child is born, breaking away from the umbilical cord.
