★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Campo di atletica bello e posto in un luogo facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici. Recentemente ci sono state delle ristrutturazioni che hanno portato alla costruzioni di nuove gradinate tuttavia alcuni servizi come, per esempio, i bagni necessitano ancora di una ristrutturazione.
 A beautiful athletics field located in a place that can be easily reached by public transport. Recently there have been some renovations that have led to the construction of new steps however some services such as, for example, the bathrooms still need a renovation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il luogo di classe dell'atletica genovese, un impianto che ha fatto la storia di questo sport sotto la Lanterna, un sito per gare, allenamenti, meeting. Dopo un breve periodo di trascuratezza e dopo l'anno del lockdown del Covid, ora l'impianto all'aperto, circondato da pini marittimi stupendi e a due passi dalle spiagge dell'elegante quartiere di Sturla, sta rinascendo: pista e attrezzature curati e nuovi, gradinate rifatte del tutto e solo da collaudare. Resta da dare una "rinfrescatina" ai gabbiotti di segreteria e alle palazzine dei servizi, ma il più è fatto. Ben servito dai mezzi pubblici, l'impianto è circondato anche da parcheggi che però, vista l'alta affluenza, vengono occupati velocemente. La cosa più bella sono però i ragazzini che a centinaia fanno su e giù per ore lungo le piste.
The classy place of Genoese athletics, a facility that has made the history of this sport under the Lanterna, a site for competitions, training, meetings. After a short period of neglect and after the year of the Covid lockdown, now the outdoor facility, surrounded by beautiful maritime pines and a stone's throw from the beaches of the elegant Sturla district, is being reborn: well-kept and new track and equipment , steps completely redone and only to be tested. It remains to give a "refresh" to the secretarial booths and the service buildings, but the most is done. Well served by public transport, the plant is also surrounded by car parks which, however, given the high turnout, are quickly occupied. The best thing, however, are the kids who go up and down the slopes by the hundreds for hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come over here for a work out. Track was renewed in late 2019. Anyway you don't have a choice unless you work out in Corso Italia on hard tiles, which some times I do to save a euro (yes we are Genoese = supposedly stingy, just a stupid Italian joke)
For an easy run better follow the main road on the sea from here to Nervi and back
