La vecchia stazione di Ficarazzelli fu attivata il 28 aprile del 1863, sulla linea Palermo - Bagheria, ed era la prima tratta ferroviaria della Sicilia. Successivamente fu aperta la fermata di Ficarazzi, situata in via Roma ed utilizzata da chi stava nell' altro borgo.
La fermata di Ficarazzi fu dismessa nel 1955, mentre la stazione ferroviaria di Ficarazzelli nel 1939 aggiunge il nome di Villabate a Ficarazzelli, si ricorda che il comune di Villabate è di recente costituzione, e fu formato togliendo territorio a Palermo, Ficarazzi e Misilmeri. La stazione venne dismessa nel 2005.
A railway stop active from 14 December 2009, located in the center of the town. Well served by a car park and also accessible to those with some disabilities.
The old station of Ficarazzelli was activated on April 28, 1863, on the Palermo - Bagheria line, and was the first railway section in Sicily. Subsequently, the Ficarazzi stop was opened, located in via Roma and used by those who lived in the other village.
The Ficarazzi stop was decommissioned in 1955, while the Ficarazzelli railway station in 1939 added the name of Villabate to Ficarazzelli, remember that the municipality of Villabate was recently established, and was formed by removing territory from Palermo, Ficarazzi and Misilmeri. The station was decommissioned in 2005.

Buy the ticket in the "tabbachi" in the high street (ask a local) and validate your ticket before you board on the machine on the platform (it’s unmanned but the locals are helpful).
Only 12 min journey into central Palermo so don’t even think about talking your car. You can park it in the street for free outside the station here
