★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dit aftandse treinstationnetje is het begin- en eindpunt van het smalspoor van de Ferrovia Circumetnea rondom de Etna. De treinen van de Italiaanse Spoorwegen stoppen in het ertegenover gelegen station Giarre-Riposto. Raadpleeg de website voor de actuele vertrektijden. Treinkaartjes kunnen ook aan boord worden gekocht. De betreurenswaardige toestand van het stationsgebouw en de treinstellen staat in schril contrast met de prachtige vergezichten onderweg.
This dilapidated train station is the start and end point of the narrow gauge railway of the Ferrovia Circumetnea around Etna. Italian Railways trains stop at the opposite Giarre-Riposto station. Consult the website for current departure times. Train tickets can also be purchased on board. The regrettable condition of the station building and the trainsets contrasts sharply with the beautiful vistas along the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Schmalspurbahn rund um den Ätna ist ein Geheimtipp. Wunderbare Streckenführung und Aussichten. Leider ist der Bahnhof für Touristen nicht gut ausgeschildert. Man muss ihn regelrecht suchen. Auch die Fahrpläne auf der Homepage der FCE sind nicht aktuell. Für Touristen wäre zudem der Hinweis hilfreich, daß Billette im Zug gekauft werden können. Sonst ist alles sehr gut: Das Personal freundlich, die Züge fahren pünktlich.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Możliwość przesiadki z pociągów regionalnych i dalekobieżnych. Na miejscu jest sympatyczny pan z obsługi sprzedający bilety na całą trasę. Część przejazdów na trasie Riposto - Randazzo jest wykonywana autobusami (są oznaczone w rozkładzie jazdy jako BUS), pozostałe - bardzo klimatycznym pociągiem.
Possibility of change from regional and long-distance trains. There is a nice service man selling tickets for the entire route. Some of the trips on the Riposto - Randazzo route are made by bus (they are marked as BUS in the timetable), the others - by a very atmospheric train.
