È veramente un posto magico di estrema bellezza e delicatezza per il gusto con cui è stato progettato. A place of peace and tranquility a stone's throw from the center. Si riesce appena a ricevere un'impressione di quello che potrebbe essere, chiusi e recintati da transenne e nastri che delimitano gli spazi accessibili. Da ritornare finiti i restauri. Nel tardo periodo medievale era un monastero ma ha avuto successivi cambi di gestione fino a diventare proprietà del Comune della città. All’interno, oltre ai bellissimi portici curvi troviamo la chiesa di San Cristoforo alla Certosa e molti monumenti funerari tra cui De Pisis, Boldini, Borso d’Este, Mentessi, ecc. Il verde è ben tenuto mentre gli edifici hanno risentito del terremoto del 2012. Vale la pena di essere visitata. Anche in questo caso, come per diversi altri in città, non è possibile entrare con il cane. Capisco che non possa essere utilizzata come parco pubblico ma non vedo perché le persone anziane, che quasi tutti i giorni visitano i loro defunti, non possano portare con se il proprio animale domestico. In origine il luogo era una Certosa poi divenuta caserma e infine cimitero. Vi è custodito il monumento funebre di Borso d'Este e tombe di personaggi più o meno famosi I found the church of San Cristoforo alla Certosa closed for restoration and also various parts of the cemetery, however the place is very suggestive. Visitate la certosa, rimarrete sorpresi.
