Il Sangiovese Riserva “VIGNA DEL GENERALE” nasce dalla più vecchia vigna, di circa 90 anni, ancora esistente nel paese di Predappio, deve il suo nome e l’etichetta alla sua storia, alle vicende di un generale amante del vino che al ritorno dalla guerra acquistò il miglior terreno che c’era in paese e ci piantò le viti di Sangiovese. Su prenotazione, si possono visitare le cantine, dove avviene la lavorazione, ed una degustazione dei vini prodotti. E se la spiegazione del proprietario che così facendo intende tutelare i clienti del circondario di Predappio, mossa direi più che legittima e logica, la scusa non regge con me che son partito da Cattolica sciroppandomi tra andata e ritorno oltre 160 km: a me interessava vedere la cantina, la location, le vigne non certo speculare sul prezzo, nell'enoteca vicino casa le bottiglie costano meno, per tacere della grande distribuzione. Poi ci sono altri canali per risparmiare, in primis il web. Ho comunque acquistato delle etichette, il titolare è una persona affabile, ma la spiegazione data sulla differenza di prezzo mi è parsa un "arrampicarsi sui vetri". Altre cantine visitate attuano sconti per quantità o ti omaggiano di qualche bottiglia, per dire. Quindi continuerò a bere il Predappio di Predappio, ne ho qualche bottiglia in cantina, ma mai più andrò fin lassù. F	Fede Nass on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Che bellissima esperienza, siamo arrivati in questa meravigliosa cantina e il proprietario ci ha accolti con una grande gentilezza, ci ha fatto fare un giro meraviglioso della cantina che sta all'ombra della torre. Le cantine di invecchiamento, appartenute un tempo alla torre, lasciano a bocca aperta, il tempo scorre ma la passione per il vino resta immutata. Il proprietario ci ha offerto dei piatti di salumi tipici e i suoi meravigliosi vini che ci hanno lasciato a bocca aperta, il nero di Predappio è meraviglioso come anche il bianco leggermente macerato e come pure il metodo Martinotti,maquesto che più mi hanno colpito ma anche gli altri sono prodotti eccellenti. Ci torneremo senz'altro. The aging cellars, which once belonged to the tower, leave you speechless, time passes but the passion for wine remains unchanged. The owner offered us typical cold cuts and his wonderful wines that left us speechless, the Predappio black is wonderful as well as the slightly macerated white and the Martinotti method, but this one that most impressed me but also the others are excellent products. We will definitely be back.
