Booked a car online for a trip from Rimini to Venice. Used the online check in to have everything ready and that worked fine. Once there I still needed to wait for the car. Ok, I went for a smaller and got a Peugeot 208, fine, but this car had seen better times. The clutch was broken, bearing noice, engine tiered and difficult to get up in revs. And the petrol tank was not full. For 180 Euro I expect a car that atleast is in good condition. When we dropped the car in Venice, they guy said this car was "done"... Staff: 4 Service: 3 Car condition: 1 Worth the money: 2 Overall experience: 2

Don’t doit, don’t do anything with this Europecar. They only gone screw you to find a way how to make more money, I book online to get a car for next day, I book a cheap car, when I went to pick up next day, they said they β€œ don’t have the car , we only have luxury car! We try to contact you by phone , email and could not get to you” Thats who they are , they know was a Saturday and I didn’t have choice! I paid about 3 times more then what I booked. Stay a way from them.

My family is renting a car every single year on holiday, however, it was the worst experience ever. Before renting a car we have been consulted by the employee in order not to exceed amount of mileage available. We carefully planned our trip. The employee kindly informed us about all the restrictions and the amount of mileage available before renting. She said it is 1000km, and later on we found out that it was actually 200km. Moreover, while driving we had lots of problems due to the broken sensors in the car, so we had to stop more often. Surprisingly, the workers knew about it and did not inform us. While giving the car back, the employee checked the mileage and after my question whether everything is fine and deposit will be returned, she said β€œYes”. Finally, 6 months after trying to investigate this case by e-mail, calls, etc. we did not get the deposit of around 400 euro back. Very sad that such a huge company has such a poor customer service. Will not recommend to anyone. Better go for Enterprise rent-a-car or anything else available nearby.
