★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked online having researched a one way, 9 day hire from Bari to FCO airport in Rome. Most companies charged a one way fee. Europcar did not and was more than 50E cheaper than any other option I found online. We booked an 'economy car' and were very happy to be given a Fiat 500 . The car had a few dings and scratches which were diligently pointed out and documented by the office staff on pickup which meant we had no problems on drop off. The office is not walking distance from the train station. The taxi cost 20E.
Out of interested, we walked into another international hire company in Bari to get a price for this trip. The quote given was about 200E more expensive than the online quote with the same company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We returned our car from having rented in Brindisi and the staff was really friendly and helpful. They even called us a taxi so we could get to our hotel in town. Only downside is that there was no parking spaces in the street, but they came quickly to take the car to their garage after inspection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Requested a 4 door vehicle for month of Sept 2020 for my friend and I to do a road trip and they only had one car which was 2 door available.
We had to lug suitcases in and out of backseat all through Sicily then Tuscany.
With a bad back, this was very inconvenient!.
When i asked if I would be compensated when renting another vehicle with them for October and they said no.?
They was also a tall slim guy in his 50's who came out to check the car for marks and dings, etc who was extremely "put out" by my renting a vehicle when it was his lunch hour!!
Very grumpy!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked up our car in less than 10 minutes and got upgraded from cheapest class to a brand new, automatic VW Polo. No problems with returning the car.
