Great beautiful place and beautiful landscape ... comfortable and easy path to take a ride in the open air. Too bad the excavations are closed ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo interessante ma chiuso al pubblico. Scavi protetti da reti e tettoie. Si riesce comunque a vedere qualcosa e vale la passeggiata.
Interesting place but closed to the public. Excavations protected by nets and canopies. You can still see something and it is worth the walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La zona è bella, la strada un po' difficoltoso in certi punti ; meglio usare scarpe basse da camminata. Purtroppo le tombe non sono accessibili, si possono vedere solo dall' esterno della recinzione. Dalla parte superiore di un tumulo si gode un bel panorama sull'Arno
The area is beautiful, the road a bit difficult at certain points; better to use flat walking shoes. Unfortunately the tombs are not accessible, they can only be seen from the outside of the fence. From the upper part of a tumulus there is a beautiful view of the Arno

Aggiirnamento: la viabilità è stata rimessa, adesso è possibile percorrere in sicurezza da la villa dei cento camini al parcheggio dopo poggio la malva. Ci sono ulteriori tratti sistemati che fanno scoprire il territorio dell'area archeologica (ancora poco visibile, ma dipende dal comune e dalla Soprintendenza) e dell'area naturale protetta sia in lungo che in largo.
Sul territorio si trovano spontanee mirto, lavanda, cerro sughera (dalla parte della vecchia porta medicea) e tante altre specie che acuiscono i sensi in ogni stagione. Dalla sommità della necropoli, nelle giornate terse, si vede il duomo di Firenze.
The roads must be fixed and the archaeological areas are difficult to see. Everything needs to be re-evaluated
Upgrade: the road system has been restored, now it is possible to walk safely from the villa of the hundred chimneys to the parking lot after Poggio la Malva. There are further arranged stretches that reveal the territory of the archaeological area (still not very visible, but it depends on the municipality and the Superintendency) and the protected natural area both far and wide.
On the territory there are spontaneous myrtle, lavender, Turkey oak (on the side of the old Medici gate) and many other species that sharpen the senses in every season. From the top of the necropolis, on clear days, you can see the cathedral of Florence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ci vado spesso a camminare cn il mio cane! La necropoli è chiusa tutta transennata e il sentiero per arrivare ai vari punti di interesse non è segnalato ma sarà perché qst boschi li conosco da bambina e il silenzio regna (tranne quando trovi i patiti di motocross! Anche se vietato!) lo adoro a pochi passi da artimino !
I often go to walk with my dog! The necropolis is closed all fenced and the path to get to the various points of interest is not reported but it will be because qst woods know them as a child and silence reigns (except when you find the motocross fans! Even if banned!) I love it a few steps from artimino!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ?Facilmente raggiungibile, ampio parcheggio esterno poca strada da percorrere a piedi. Paesaggio spettacolare alle porte di Firenze. Peccato per i numerosi cacciatori presenti nelle immediate vicinanze?
?Easily accessible, large outdoor parking, little road to walk. Spectacular landscape on the outskirts of Florence. Too bad for the numerous hunters present in the immediate vicinity?
