★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prenotando facilmente tramite il sito di Euthymos Excursions la Nostra escursione sull'Etna notammo subito la disponibilità e la gentilezza dello staff; ed allettati dal prezzo, decidemmo di prenotare!
E’ stato possibile anche prenotare scarpe da trekking adatte, maglioni di pile e giacche a vento; il tutto incluso nel prezzo!
Il giorno dell’escursione, sono venuti a prenderci direttamente all’alloggio in cui abbiamo pernottato, ed una volta indossata l’attrezzatura adatta ci recammo alla prima meta della giornata, la Valle del Bove, seguita poi dalla visita ad una grotta di origine lavica.
Il tutto accompagnato da una descrizione introduttiva ma ben chiara e dettagliata sulla scienza vulcanologica ed in special modo sul “Sistema Etna”: formazione di crateri, eruzioni, formazione delle caverne e tanto altro.
Abbiamo concluso l’escursione in una tranquilla pineta “vulcanica” (alle pendici di un cratere ormai spento) per un pranzo semplice ma gustoso, gustando prodotti tipici del luogo, dal salame dei Nebrodi ai formaggi; olive; pomodori secchi e altro, accompagnati da un ottimo vino rosso e dallo squisito pane locale.

By easily booking our excursion on Etna through the Euthymos Excursions website, we immediately noticed the availability and kindness of the staff; and attracted by the price, we decided to book!
It was also possible to book suitable trekking shoes, fleece sweaters and anoraks; all included in the price!
The day of the excursion, they came to pick us up directly at the accommodation where we stayed, and once we put on the suitable equipment we went to the first destination of the day, the Valle del Bove, followed by a visit to a cave of lava origin .
All accompanied by an introductory but very clear and detailed description on volcanological science and especially on the “Etna System”: formation of craters, eruptions, formation of caves and much more.
We concluded the excursion in a quiet "volcanic" pine forest (on the slopes of a now extinct crater) for a simple but tasty lunch, enjoying typical local products, from Nebrodi salami to cheeses; olives; dried tomatoes and more, accompanied by an excellent red wine and delicious local bread.

Guida gentilissima e preparata, solo per noi(si eravamo sole, non in gruppo enorme che rende difficile seguire le spiegazioni) , ci ha spiegato tutto in modo semplice e chiaro anche per la bambina con noi. Per una cifra più che competitiva ci ha fatto fare un bel giro sull'Etna e a taormina.. Praticamente avremmo speso la stessa cifra (se non di più!) andando da soli, tra mezzi, pranzo ecc con la differenza che avevamo una persona preparata con noi ad illustrarci il tutto. Il percorso ci ha permesso di vedere posti stupendi con spiegazioni, di fare una degustazione di miele e creme locali e idem per pranzo oltre al Tempo per i souvenirs. La cosa che abbiamo molto apprezzato è la semplicità e praticità con cui è stato gestito il tutto, anche perché abbiamo chiamato e ci hanno trovato posto entro due giorni (fondamentale visto che ne avevamo 4 in tutto di cui uno non completo)
Excellent service in all respects! Very kind and prepared guide, only for us (we were alone, not in a huge group that makes it difficult to follow the explanations), he explained everything in a simple and clear way even for the little girl with us. For a more than competitive figure he made us take a nice tour on Etna and in taormina .. Practically we would have spent the same amount (if not more!) Going alone, between means, lunch etc. with the difference that we had a prepared person with us to illustrate everything. The route allowed us to see beautiful places with explanations, to make a tasting of local honey and creams and ditto for lunch in addition to the Time for souvenirs. The thing that we really appreciated is the simplicity and practicality with which everything was handled, also because we called and they found us place within two days (fundamental since we had 4 in all, one of which was not complete)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ottima esperienza con la guida professionale e simpatica di Federico, profondo e appassionato conoscitore della Montagna (l' Etna). A fine agosto, con la mia famiglia (moglie e due bambine di 10 e 12 anni), abbiamo avuto il piacere di un'escursione sull'Etna (versante sud) e Aci Trezza. Presi dal B&B verso le 09.00, ci siamo diretti con una Fiat Panda "agguerrita", in una grotta a tre strati generatasi dallo scorrimento della lava. Successivame siamo saliti a quota 2.000 metri per l'escursione su parte della Montagna. Considerato il forte vento abbiamo noleggiato delle giacche mentre l'utilizzo delle scarpe da trekking erano comprese nel pacchetto escursione (prenotando i numeri qualche giorno prima). Verso le 13.00 abbiamo pranzato al nuovo rifugio con prodotti tipici (sempre compreso nel pacchetto) per poi ripartire per Aci Trezza, a circa 40 min. di strada, ricca di storia e leggende, dove abbiamo fatto un paio di bagni nelle acque protette e cristalline al cospetto dei faraglioni. Verso le 17.30, Federico ci ha riportati al ns. B&B. Che dire, 262€ (intera famiglia con pranzo e transfer compresi) ben spesi. Visitare quei posti senza una guida competente sarebbe stato quasi inutile.
Excellent experience with the professional and friendly guide of Federico, profound and passionate connoisseur of the Mountain (Etna). At the end of August, with my family (wife and two girls aged 10 and 12), we had the pleasure of an excursion to Etna (south side) and Aci Trezza. Taken from the B&B around 09.00, we headed in a "fierce" Fiat Panda to a three-layered cave generated by the flow of lava. Subsequently we went up to an altitude of 2,000 meters for the excursion on part of the mountain. Considering the strong wind we rented jackets while the use of trekking shoes were included in the excursion package (by booking the numbers a few days before). At around 13.00 we had lunch at the new refuge with typical products (always included in the package) and then we left for Aci Trezza, about 40 min. of the road, rich in history and legends, where we took a couple of baths in the protected and crystalline waters in front of the stacks. At about 5.30 pm, Federico brought us back to our office. B&B. What can I say, € 262 (whole family with lunch and transfer included) well spent. Visiting those places without a competent guide would have been almost useless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tour veramente ben organizzato. Il signor Riccardo che ci ha accompagnato ci ha messo subito a nostro agio e con una ottima preparazione ci ha descritto tutte le fasi della gita. Molto gentile con i nostri figli ci ha portato fino a 2000 metri dove abbiamo avuto altre informazioni e scattato foto stupende. Per ultimo sosta al ristorante vicino al cratere x una ottima degustazione di prodotti tipici e un buon bicchiere di vino. Esperienza sicuramente da fare e da ripetere. Grazie a Riccardo per questa grande esperienza!
Really well organized tour. Mr. Riccardo who accompanied us immediately put us at ease and with excellent preparation he described all the stages of the trip. Very kind to our children he took us up to 2000 meters where we got more information and took great pictures. Lastly, stop at the restaurant near the crater for an excellent tasting of typical products and a good glass of wine. Definitely an experience to do and repeat. Thanks to Riccardo for this great experience!
