Un gioiello tra le montagne, sicuramente opera di un seguace del Santo: due stanzette scavate nella roccia, una di abitazione ed una dedicata alla preghiera. Una polla d'acqua che misteriosamente mantiene sempre lo stesso livello. Un piccolo forno. Alle pareti alcuni affreschi molto successivi raffiguranti San Leonardo e Santa Caterina, riconducibili a Jacomo-Jacopo da Roccantica, "ragazzo di bottega" del Coleberti. Inserisco le immagini dei cartelli a cui far riferimento. Se si segue la direzione indicata dalla scritta a penna ci si arriva Beautiful place !!! A pochi kilometri dal borgo di Roccantica, si raggiunge attraverso il sentiero di un bosco mediterraneo. Davanti la grotta dell'eremo c è ancora un'abitazione in pietra, oggi diruta. Dal terrazzo, cintato con la staccionata, si gode della vista sulla valle. It is a small hermitage built inside a cave that opens onto a ridge of the Rivotano gorge. Luogo molto suggestivo dove è anche possibile ammirare quello che resta di un affresco su roccia. F	Felman73 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Che dire il posto è fantastico perché per trovarlo è stata una caccia al tesoro, fantastico perché immerso nella natura, perché perfettamente incastonato nell'alveo di una grotta, il posto è magico perché ti porta indietro nel tempo, vale la pena trovarlo, venendo dalle pozze del diavolo disterà all'incirca quattro km, ma ogni fatica è ben ripagata. PS venendo dll'Eremo San Michele, in fondo ad una discesa dove c'è un piccolo spiano, il vialetto che porta a San Leonardo è sulla dx, nascosto dietro un cespuglio. M	Michele MM on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbiamo raggiunto questo posto incantato in piena solitudine, io e mio figlio, sulla via del ritorno dalla grotta di San Michele verso Roccantica (lo consiglio in questa direzione onde fare in discesa il tratto che concentra la massima pendenza). È stato davvero un gran privilegio visitarlo nel silenzio più assoluto e coglierne appieno la spiritualità. Peccato per i muri coperti dalle firme degli idioti che tengono a farci sapere che sono passati da qui e che quel giorno magari si amavano pure. Peccato anche per il completo abbandono del preziosissimo affresco. It was truly a great privilege to visit it in absolute silence and to fully grasp its spirituality. T	Tito Margutti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passeggiata semplice adatta ai più, dal campanile di Roccantica si segue per un percorso segnato; si passa per un sentiero dentro al bosco fino ad arrivare all'eremo. Qui si possono notare i ruderi in relativo ottimo stato ed anche un dipinto rupestre in ottime condizioni (peccato per alcune parti staccate) Simple walk suitable for most, from the Roccantica bell tower you follow a marked path; you pass along a path inside the wood until you reach the hermitage. Here you can see the ruins in relative excellent condition and also a rock painting in excellent condition (shame about some detached parts)
