★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid this place. There were free tables and they rejected us because we went with our kid who is 4. They were polite but it was disgusting situation. Food should be good because it was recommended by a local friend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice cozy restaurant and wine bar. Menu is not large, but has everything that goes well with wines. There are some specialities like lasagna and fried baccala. Wine list is large and has a good variety of Italian wines basic and premium. Food portions are medium, so if you are hungry order more :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were having some sort of family reunion, which is a rather rare thing, and since we were visiting Padua all together, we needed a good place to celebrate. I think we could not have made a better selection, because our experience was precious.
The restaurant itself oozes character everywhere, with its narrow passages and aged furniture. We entrusted ourselves to the care of the owner who wittily guided us through the menu and served our orders.
From the several ways in which the salted codfish - a traditional staple in the area - is prepared, to the home-made desserts, everything was an experience in itself.

Very different experience than most Italian food I’ve eaten. Meat lasagna with tomatoes but tasted surprisingly good. Cod lasagna equally good. Would probably have appreciated it even more had I been a wine lover!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place to eat in Padua hands down. We were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation Saturday night and discovered such good food. The chef knows what he's doing, that's for sure. I highly recommend the liver with white polenta dish. The green vegetables were perfectly seasoned (not overly salty as some places tend to do). The beef filet with fries is also good. And for dessert, definitely get the chef's creation. It was delicious. I'm not a wine drinker but my friend who did get a drink really enjoyed it.
They don't have an English menu but the female owner, who speaks English, is very helpful with explaining the menu.
