★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bruttissima esperienza. La signora era apparentemente pressoché incapace di parlare italiano. Quando abbiamo mostrato sorpresa per questo, ci ha chiesto con una certa arroganza: "è un problema?!". Abbiamo risposto che non era un problema. Ma abbiamo sorriso della situazione: essere a Lucca ma non poter parlare italiano. Ai nostri sorrisi di disagio e imbarazzo, la signora non ha trovato di meglio che mostrarsi offesa e mandarci via, dichiarando che non voleva più servirci.
 Very bad experience. The lady was apparently almost unable to speak Italian. When we showed surprise for this, he asked us with a certain arrogance: "Is it a problem ?!". We replied that it was not a problem. But we smiled at the situation: being in Lucca but not being able to speak Italian. To our smiles of discomfort and embarrassment, the lady found nothing better than to be offended and send us away, declaring that she no longer wanted to serve us.

Tuttavia esperienza culinaria da dimenticare
La carta propone una scelta di piatti davvero interessanti sennonché al nostro arrivo erano praticamente tutti finiti nonostante fosse presto.
Qualità del cibo nostrano nella media, ma il prezzo decisamente sproporzionato alla qualità e quantità del cibo mangiato.

However, a culinary experience to forget
The card offers a choice of really interesting dishes, but at our arrival they were practically all finished despite being early.
Quality of our local food, but the price is disproportionate to the quality and quantity of the food eaten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great find in Lucca. The owners are inviting and engaging and make you feel welcome. The wines are local and carefully selected. We enjoyed a night of good food and music. I was able to have a case of wine shipped back to the States without a problem. A must visit !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive place to have a breakfast. But in line with the overtouristed Tuscan cities. The transaction is brief so make the most of it.
Here's the misery of the place, in one story from the morning: I asked for a glass of tap water for the small kids. They sold a bottled water, and said that "with tap water their stomach will be upset". Money money money.
