The place is not even bad but honestly I was disappointed for the value for money. I stopped with my husband for a quick bite and a glass of wine; the wine shop is a bit retro but clean and well cared for, we ate in two: a plate of meatballs (good but nothing special); a small taste of frico (also average); a taste of turnip tops and aubergines in oil (produced in Apulian jar, good but we are talking about 2 tablespoons per vegetable); 4 small stuffed peppers (also in a jar); a few slices of bread arrived on the table still frozen, two glasses of wine (excellent but God forbid in the wine shop); a bottle of water. Total price 50 euros from which we have to remove 7 euros for a jar of turnip greens that I bought and took away so the "snack" cost 43 euros !!! I would say really exaggerated.

To be avoided. Nice place, clean, kind owner. Sufficient but overpriced food. 4 euros a bottle of tap water. 5 a half-empty goblet of Merlot. 10 euros for a half portion of the fridge. Outside they display prices that do not correspond to reality

Historic restaurant full of delicious homemade things that accompany a wide selection of wines. The lady is very nice, she welcomed us warmly also giving us many tips for our trip and telling us local anecdotes. Truly a place not to be missed for a curious traveler and a lover of quality and tradition.

I'm from Milan and, as I was passing through Palmanova yesterday for work, I saw the menu written on a blackboard in the window of this wine shop. The prices seemed good but, once I entered, the owner didn't offer me anything on the displayed menu. He told me that for the first time there were only parmesan aubergines (assuming they are a first course) and three second courses. I then took the eggplant parmigiana which were good but of a very small portion, for the second a triangular slice of omelette with courgettes plus "two slices of raw ham. For dessert there were two types of cakes and the owner offered me a mix: a slice of both. I had to take the one-liter bottle of water, by itself, because "the half-liter was finished. Well: how much I spent is" really exorbitant, above all expectations. I was thinking of spending about 15-16 euros for parmigiana, omelette, water and dessert. Instead I spent 27.50 euros: crazy! He paid me 9 euros for the aubergines, 4 euros for water, 8 euros for a slice of zucchini omelette with 2 transparent slices of raw ham, and 5 euros for the cake. Plus 1,50 cover charge. There are two cases: either this place has prices that are absolutely out of the market or they saw the Milanese by itself and they thought it would be a good idea to cheat her, telling her that there were only things left off the menu (coincidentally) to improvise high prices, not written anywhere. . Some people want to be smart but in this way "customers run away and certainly don't spread the word.

Cozy place and wide choice of wines, in particular typical of the Collio del Friuli area. Very kind owner. I have read negative reviews regarding somewhat high prices. Personally I believe that we must take into account the fact that they are freshly prepared products, the cuisine is typical local and the desserts are homemade. Enjoyed everything.
