Fine cuisine, focused on quality and the recovery and exaltation of local ingredients. A pleasant and recommendable experience, where you can enjoy all the dishes from appetizers to desserts, letting yourself be carried away by the flavors, which are discovered at every step.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locale scoperto per caso. L'ambiente è sobrio ed elegante, molto ben arredato. L'accoglienza è stata cordiale e col sorriso chiaramente visibile anche sotto la mascherina.
C'era un po' l'imbarazzo della scelta per i piatti, perché era davvero tutto allettante, ma abbiamo optato per la proposta del menù degustazione che per 45€ (prezzo onesto) ti fa arrivare sul tavolo 2 antipasti, 2 primi, un secondo e un dolce (più due piccolissimi extra a inizio e fine pasto, graditissimi)
Tutto sorprendentemente buono, anche le cose in apparenza più semplici (come la linguina 1986 che non è affatto una banale pasta al burro).
Siamo andati via (dopo due piacevoli chiacchiere con lo chef) con la promessa e la certezza di tornare ad assaggiare il resto del menù.

Local discovered by accident. The environment is sober and elegant, very well furnished. The welcome was cordial and with a smile clearly visible even under the mask.
There was a bit of embarrassment for the choice of dishes, because it was all really tempting, but we opted for the tasting menu proposal which for € 45 (honest price) gets you on the table 2 appetizers, 2 first courses, a main course and a dessert (plus two very small extras at the beginning and end of the meal, very welcome)
All surprisingly good, even the simplest apparently things (like linguina 1986 which is by no means a banal pasta with butter).
We left (after a pleasant chat with the chef) with the promise and the certainty of returning to taste the rest of the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho provato il menù degustazione da 6 portate. Da premiare sicuramente la voglia di osare.. di creare.. di andare fuori dagli schemi e dagli standard dei soliti arrosticini. Qui infatti non ne troverete.. ma avrete un percorso di sapori mai banali che vi faranno per un attimo allontanare dall'Abruzzo a cui si è abituati. A mio avviso manca ancora qualcosa per le 5 stelle.. forse solo esperienza e carattere in alcuni piatti. Ma lo sforzo va sicuramente premiato. Buona anche la carta dei vini. Prezzo congruo con la qualità.
I tried the 6 course tasting menu. Definitely to be rewarded is the desire to dare .. to create .. to go outside the box and the standards of the usual kebabs. In fact, here you will not find any .. but you will have a journey of never banal flavors that will make you move away from the Abruzzo you are used to for a moment. In my opinion something is still missing for the 5 stars .. maybe just experience and character in some dishes. But the effort must certainly be rewarded. The wine list is also good. Price consistent with quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bella esperienza in questo piccolo bistrot che evidentemente ha puntato al 100% sulla qualità e sull'esaltazione delle materie prime locali.
La trota al fumo con salsa ai pinoli ed elicriso è stato il mio piatto preferito, ma sarebbe limitativo citare un solo piatto.
La carta dei vini è da perfezionare includendo, oltre al sauternes, qualche vitigno aromatico (gewürztraminer e malvasia su tutti) che secondo me sarebbero meglio centrati con i menù degustazione.
Sarebbe interessante abbinare ai menù degustazione anche una degustazione di vini abbinati. Comunque cena memorabile.

Nice experience in this small bistro which evidently focused 100% on the quality and exaltation of local raw materials.
Smoked trout with pine nut and helichrysum sauce was my favorite dish, but it would be limiting to mention just one dish.
The wine list is to be improved by including, in addition to the sauternes, some aromatic grape varieties (gewürztraminer and malvasia above all) which in my opinion would be better centered with the tasting menus.
It would be interesting to combine the tasting menus with a tasting of paired wines. Still memorable dinner.
I will definitely be back. Well done!!!

La cucina è un viaggio sensoriale, con le portate che oltre ad essere ben presentate, riescono a celebrare le materie prime del posto, rendendo ciascun piatto un esempio di ricercatezza esclusiva. Il palato ne risulta conseguentemente appagato. Personale cordiale e gentile nel soddisfare le nostre richieste. Un'esperienza consigliata.
Gourmet New Year's Eve dinner at Don Evandro di Popoli. A restaurant that has been renovated and cared for with taste in the colors and in every detail. The kitchen is a sensory journey, with the dishes that, in addition to being well presented, are able to celebrate the raw materials of the place, making each dish an example of exclusive refinement. The palate is consequently satisfied. Friendly and kind staff in meeting our requests. A recommended experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived here on a windswept rainy November evening after descending down the mountain. Once inside, we forgot the outside world and time itself. The food is outstanding, with interesting takes on fresh Abruzzo ingredients. The wine choices are excellent, and the service kind, personable, and professional. I would encourage every local and every visitor to experience this memorable restaurant.

The waitress was really accomadating and spoke English really well.
It's hidden away down a small path so can be a little hard to find but it's definetely worth the visit.
It had a great selection of Abruzzo wines.
The food was exquisite, specially the trout and lamb second dishes.
Even the decor inside was really warming and great talking points.

The dished are one of the best ever tasted. The food combinations are well chosen by the chef valuing the properties of the food raw materials.
The location is cozy and well furnished, it lets the guests feel like home.
Surely, we will come back on our next trip to Abruzzo.
