★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seldom have I seen a café so busy, even in a sleepy town like Fiumicino. You just have to taste their coffee and croissants to understand why. I loved the coffee and croissants and coffee and also my favourite blood orange juice-freshly squeezed. I loved the friendly staff and the general buzz around me, despite the fact that I do not speak any Italian. Just sitting amidst the locals felt like exploring Italy in itself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pastries are so, so yummy. My recommendation is to come early for breakfast just to see the amazing selection, and then also come again to try something different. The criss-crossed danish with pecans on top was my favourite. And the wait staff were kind and patient with an English tourist trying out her Italian!
