Supermarket opened a few years ago which is located inside a historic building for the city of Padua, located in one of the most beautiful and largest squares in the world, the Prato della Valle, as well as being close to the Basilica del Santo and Santa Giustina . Also suitable for tourists and in its back there is a large paid parking for cars, campers and tourist buses, at competitive prices

β β β β β I have mixed feelings about this branch. It's located in a strategic location, RIGHT across Prato della Valle, which is one of the main tourist destination in Padova. So, of course, for the tourists, maybe this will be the only Despar they go to.
Same as the other Despar, from my personal point of view, I think the price is a little bit more expensive. If you're a student who's short on money, then this supermarket is definitely not for you; their price range for groceries is usually higher. But, if you're looking for some unique dessert or a some face mask (the one for covid, not the one for skin care), then this is the place. Sometimes they have dessert that doesn't exist in the other supermarket, even the other Despar, like baba. Also, I got my own stock of FFP2 mask in KN95 style (because I'm wearing glasses so the usual one is kind of annoying for me) in this particular branch. Weirdly, those things don't even exist in the other Despars.
With all of the things being said, I guess 4 stars is enough.
And talking about grocery... I don't know why, but the vegetables I get from Despar tend to rot more easily???
