★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I literally couldn't begin to describe my love for this place. We've just been travelling Northern Italy for the last 5 days, doing at least one town or city per day! This is easily the best restaurant and best feeling I've got in a place. The owner is very friendly, willing to have a chat, and offer options for food up off menu. I think I'd genuinely consider a full trip back to Trieste just to visit this place. It was a local recommendation from the people we stayed with, but surpassed every expectation I had before walking in. Seriously, visit this place if you're in Trieste! Or Italy for the matter!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little old school local find. Simple dishes perfectly prepared. I had an arugula and radicchio and white anchovy salad followed by seafood spaghetti. Great personal service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived here with my girlfriend for dinner. The chef suggested to take the Trieste speciality soup and it was really something worth trying. For the main dish both of us chose the frutti di mare spagetthi and it was okay, but somehow a bit salty/sour for our taste.
Anyway the staff was really friendly and the place has a good, traditional Italian atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was not disappointed with this place! A very cosy eatery with a "simpatico" owner and chef. Seafood soup and spaghetti were both so delicious, rich in flavours and portion, modest in their prices! Great conversations and hospitality by the owner. Buonissimo!

Marino is a wonderful character, and his dishes are just full of good food and love. Plus the prices are amazingly friendly! This is simply a must go. You'll thank yourself for choosing this restaurant afterward!
