★ ★ ★ ★ ★ questa sede dell'università era la ex caserma Zucchi. e si trova accanto al Parco del Popolo e a Piazza della Vittoria. I lavori del palazzo iniziarono nel 1845 in stile neoclassico. La Caserma Zucchi è stata sede dei militari; fino al 1975; in seguito, il Comune di Reggio Emilia l'ha destinata ad altri scopi, quali ad es. quelli di spazio espositivo dei Musei Civici e a sede dell'istituto Musicale "Achille Peri", ecc.
Negli anni '90 l'intero complesso è stato ristrutturato e dal 2005 è sede dell'Università degli studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia. L'università si presenta molto ben organizzata e curata.
this seat of the university was the former Zucchi barracks. and is located next to the Parco del Popolo and Piazza della Vittoria. The building work began in 1845 in a neoclassical style. The Zucchi barracks was the headquarters of the military; until 1975; subsequently, the Municipality of Reggio Emilia has assigned it to other purposes, such as those of the exhibition space of the Civic Museums and the headquarters of the "Achille Peri" Musical Institute, etc.
In the 90s the whole complex was renovated and since 2005 it has been the seat of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The university is very well organized and cared for.
