Durante i mercatini troviamo questo stand di gastronomia tipica locale, prodotti buoni ,si parla molto di selezione di eccellenze e di genuità però credo che ancora non si conosca il significato della parola IGIENE. I salumi vengono affettati per l'assaggino senza un guanto, per lo più con le mani vengono presi i soldi e si ritorna a tagliare i salumi ....poi salumi appoggiati sul bancone senza una carta alimentare... Che parlate di eccellenze e poi non curate queste cose è proprio un peccato! We have just returned from a weekend in Alberobello ... During the markets we find this stand of typical local gastronomy, good products, there is a lot of talk about the selection of excellence and genuineness but I believe that the meaning of the word HYGIENE is not yet known. The cured meats are sliced for tasting without a glove, mostly with the hands the money is taken and you go back to cutting the meats .... then cold cuts placed on the counter without a food card ... That you talk about excellence and then do not take care of these things is a shame!

Ci hanno accolti dei giovani ( alla sera ci siamo tornati e ci ha accolto il titolare). Tutti ci hanno consigliato al meglio per i nostri acquisti. Sono preparati, simpatici, e si possono fare degli assaggini per valutare al meglio cio' che si vuole acquistare. Personalmente lo straconsiglio, tanto che sicuramente faremo degli acquisti online, anche per fare dei pensieri di Natale. E' inoltre importante dare risalto ai nostri produttori locali che ci portano sulle tavole prodotti di qualita'. Ylenia da Bologna. Young people welcomed us (in the evening we went back and the owner greeted us). Everyone advised us best for our purchases. They are prepared, nice, and you can taste them to better evaluate what you want to buy. Personally, the straconsiglio, so much so that we will certainly make online purchases, even to make Christmas thoughts. Il negizio é a forma di trullo e al suo interno é stato riportato alla luce un pavimento antico; questa scoperta ha reso ancora piu particolare questo posto. Gestito dalla famiglia Damati il negozio vende prodotti locali come vino, taralli, pasta , amari, salumi , formaggi e souvenir di tutti i tipi. Mimmo il proprietario accoglie tutti con grande affetto coccollando i clienti offrendo assaggini di vario tipo e creando un'atmosfera magica. Cosimo , Angela, Marta ( i figli) e Mariella ( la moglie) con grande amore si prendono cura del negozio . Un 'oasi di pace e di gusto che consiglio vivamente. Un'altra caratteristica é la comunicazione , la famiglia Damati riesce a conquistare tutti e riprova é che tutti i visitatori vanno via emozionati e contenti. The negizio is in the shape of a trullo and an ancient floor has been brought to light inside; this discovery made this place even more special. Managed by the Damati family, the shop sells local products such as wine, taralli, pasta, bitters, cold cuts, cheeses and all kinds of souvenirs. Mimmo the owner welcomes everyone with great affection pampering customers by offering various types of tastings and creating a magical atmosphere. Cosimo, Angela, Marta (the children) and Mariella (the wife) take care of the shop with great love. An oasis of peace and taste that I highly recommend. Another feature is communication, the Damati family manages to win everyone over and it proves that all visitors leave excited and happy.

The son insisted I try every type of taralli they had, I ended up purchasing the cime di rapa (turnip tops) flavor. He also insisted on sharing his just freshly brought calzone lunch ?!! It was hot and delicious! Very kind of him. Worth stopping into if you are in Alberobello!
