Just excellent food, delight for eyes and tongue. Not that easy to find but definitely worth it.

I had a really lovely meal here tonight. The presentation of the terrace dining area, and my table at the edge, overlooking the valley all the way to the sea, set the perfect backdrop for a delicious dinner. Being a vegitarian can have it's complications when dining out, but I find that any chef who knows flavors can accommodate vegitarian diners quite easily. I had the ravioli stuffed with cheese and aubergine with a nice curdled cream sauce that has a fancy Italian name. Flecks of grated vanilla along with marigolds petals were sprinkled on top. I was very interested to see how the vanilla would play out among the flavors and it was amazing. This dish usually comes with prawns but were left out for me. I'm not sure how the vanilla would taste if they were still in there. They make their own bread which was very tasty and there was an mini appetizer of these little cornbread like nuggets that has orange peel in them. These were also delightful. For dessert I chose the white chocolate, campari, strawberry rose and it was the only thing that was a bit off. What came out was a slab of thick, cream cheesy, custard (tastes good) with some kind of sweet, crunchy, pink crumbles, (also good) and drizzled with campari, topped with a small blob of strawberry ice cream. We're still doing ok at this point until this very bitter and weirdly flavored white sauce/topping, much like a half whipped cream in consistancy. I wasn't sure what part of the dessert tasted off so I took a bite of each component separately until I knew what it was and then tried to eat around it. Overall a 4 1/2 out of five. The view and the affordably might bring it up to five but the nerve wracking goat trail you have to drive to get there brings it back down. Would be excellent for a date night or proposal.
