We originally booked for one night, ended up staying for 10! Granted, our vacation plans were flexible and we were lucky with the hotel’s availability. But the hotel itself (quiet, comfortable, free parking and breakfast), its close location to the beach (10 mins walk), the friendly and accommodating staff, and Recco itself, made us want to stay here for the major part of our vacation. This hotel and restaurant has been a family business since 1860 and it shows - it truly feels like one of the better known places in the region, visited by locals and tourists alike. We loved out stay!

One of the most famous restaurants in Recco, it mostly serves typical, regional dishes. Service could be better, but the food is good, and the cheese focaccia is a must try.

The inventor of the famous focaccia al formaggio. Very upscale. they usually are fully booked and are available for parties such as weddings and so on. Going there at least 4 times a year. My advice is to reserve table at the "osteria", which has the same food at lower prices.

This is one of the classic restaurants in the genoese riviera di levante (eastern riviera) for local culinary pleasures. The other one in Recco with comparable fame is the Manuelina, not far from Vittorio. The focaccia al formaggio is the mainstay and is truly excellent. They make a variety of local specialities as well, for instance the celebrated pansoti all sugo di noci (ako tortellini from here, with a vegetarian filling, served in a delicious walnut creamy sauce). The pesto I tried was OK but nothing to write home about (I am genoese, please note, so rather particular about pesto, but have lived in Scotland since 1988). The long and the short of it: if u want to try a famous place for focaccia all formaggio, reasonably priced for a restaurant, and enjoy reading the history of restaurants on menus, do go. If u r after a substantial typical meal, head into the various valleys and try the trattorie.

Recommended by our Genovese friends we had lunch there during the Easter weekend. The food was authentic and good. The fish was fresh and the pasta the way you expect it to be. Try the pan fried stuffed anchovies

Quite good value for money (staying at the hotel). Breakfast was subpar, and the approach of serving took long time and was frustrating (and not necessary due to COVID-19, as others hotels don’t serve in that way).

Focaccia is a tipical plate from this small town and Vittorio smash it on it! The waiter was very nice too.

One of the best Focaccia di Recco (original recipe with Invernizi cheese) a bit heavy but if you are in the area you need to try it.
