We arrived in Sorrento and stayed at Grand Hotel Due Golfi for 10 days. We can honestly say that over the 10 day stay this was the finest place we ate.
It was so good that we dined twice.
The staff are so lovely and welcoming. it's a family run business and completely authentic.
Over our first trip we had:
-Fried Anchovies
-Pizza
-Whole Grilled Sea Bream (which was prepared at our table)
Upon our second trip we had:
- Grilled octopus & vegetables
- Spaghetti with capers, anchovies, tomatoes & fried bread
- Grilled prawns
- Tiramisu
- Caramel panna cotta
Please make sure you try the homemade wine also as it is to die for and only 5euro for a 1/2 litre.
The flavours, authenticity and just general presentation are exceptional.
PLEASE make sure you give this place your business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful restaurant. Great food, outstanding service and so reasonably affordable!! So glad we had dinner there! Pasquale and Liberacio who attended to us were so genuinely delightful. We had their special Lamb chops which were tender and tasty. The swordfish was also fresh and delicious. They served us complimentary a bite size pizza as appetizers and the tomato sauce was heavenly. Tiramisu and panacotta were the best we had, and we had been eating our way around Italy the past two 3 weeks! To top it off, they brought us limoncello and it was also the best we had tasted. I am very sparing with my rating as I travel all over the world and know what is authentic and what is not. Da Mimi is definitely o my list of one of the better ones! We are staying in Sorrrento for the next 5 days and will definitely be back! What a gem of a restaurant. I would give it 5.5 stars!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having read favourable reviews we were somewhat disappointed to find Da Mimì closed on Tuesday evening - despite Google’s suggestion that it was open. (Mr Gregory’s just down the street was a poor alternative - see my separate review!)
However, trying again the following night and we were treated to a great dining experience.
Friendly, attentive and quick waiting service, despite the fact that there seemed to be only two waiters and the restaurant was almost full by 19:30. The restaurant itself was clean, bright, well lit and with plenty of room between tables. (Something Mr Gregory’s might want to take note of.)
The food was also very good. Sure, we only ordered pizzas and, how difficult can pizzas be in an Italian restaurant?! Well some places do pizzas far better than others and this is definitely one of the better places.
The dishes being served to other tables also looked very nice and I suspect we’ll pay another visit later in the week to try the pasta for ourselves.
The price for 3 pizzas, 1 side, 2 soft drinks, 1 glass of Prosecco and the €2 per person cover charge came to €44. Very reasonable and I strongly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Sorrento area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great family meal here Easter 2022. Great pizza and pasta dishes for my wife and two kids. I had a delicious fillet steak cooked perfectly and restaurants own wine was good too. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely loved my experience here! Da Mimi was recommended by my Airbnb host and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted with lots of smiles and got seated immediately. They served us appetizers on the house ?. I ordered the Margherita pizza and I was expecting something small because it was €5 but boy was I wrong lol I also ordered the gnocchi and it was all delicious!! Once we finished our meals they also gave us free shots. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Sant'Agata
