Da romano, ho sempre acquistato un prodotto un tempo strettamente locale, principe dei biscotti da forno: almeno fin quando aprirne la confezione non s'è rivelata una lotteria. Non sono sicuro di quali problemi abbiano nello stabilimento tiburtino - anche se dopo anni di delusioni un'idea me la son fatta - ma ormai il più delle volte dall'incarto sortiscono biscotti a pezzi. Per le mie aspettative, non è un buon modo per iniziare la giornata e ho deciso di sostituirli... con esiti fino a un certo punto deludenti. Ieri entro casualmente alla Todis e mi attira la busta azzurrina dei Frollini Integrali de I Tesori del Forno: 700g non arrivano a costare 2 euro, se non mi dovessero piacere almeno non sarà una gran remissione. Li acquisto senza troppe aspettative, li assaggio e imprevedibilmente mi garbano 'n bel po'. Ho trovato i nuovi biscotti per la prima colazione, che, con un gusto tradizionale e parente stretto dei vecchi, non mi costringeranno lontano dalle abitudini consolidate. Scoprire che sono prodotti dalla D. Lazzaroni & C. di Teramo amplifica il mio apprezzamento, per una delle tante famiglie imprenditoriali che hanno inciso sulla storia d'Italia e per la città d'Abruzzo che ha inciso sulla mia. Lazzaroni biscuits are my favorite brand, but I didn't like risoli, too hard to soak and very sweet. To err is human but you can do better.
