β β β β β Just recently, I finnished my Master degree in Violin Performance on Academy of music in Ljubljana, with a Violin made by Mrs. Abbuehl. Playing on the violin for the first time was a love at first sight. It's sensitivity and responsiveness made me want to grow with it and further explore it's colours. Although a violin is still quite new, it already possesses a very personal and mature sound. I'm looking forward to continue growing and appreciate every moment spent with it.

β β β β β I play a violin made by Ms AbbΓΌhl for 7 years already. I got it in 2012, just after I started my Bachelors degree at Ljubljana Music Academy. Later I did my Masters degree at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam (finished in 2017), and I still play the same violin to this day. Ms AbbΓΌhl's atention to detail in both sound and visual appearance of the instrument is fantastic, as is the sound itself. The nuances in the range of colors the violin is capable of producing are magical; it can range from the dark and deep sound to the bright and sweet. Also the dynamic range of the instrument is wide, not only in forte but also in piano dynamics. I played this violin several times ad a soloist with orchestra and it has always offered me all the necessary ingridients to present my interpretation. It truly is comparable to some of the old italian masters. I hugely recomend. Complimenti!

β β β β β I am currently studying at Ljubljana Music Academy and play on the violin made by mrs AbbΓΌhl for 5 years. During this time I attended several competitions and play a couple of times as a soloist with orchestra and violin did always sound great. It has a good projection, sound is strong but also soft and gentle. I like variety of colours and brilliance. I am still thrilled with it, as I was when I bouhght it.

β β β β β I know Katharina since I bought a violin of hers in 2005. I was recommended to Katharina and I got surprised from the high quality of the instrument, beyond my expectations and I got in love with it as instrument. This was a strong reason to take another violin from her in 2014.
It is interesting for Katharina as a modern luthier to have such a great advancement through the years. The violin of Katharina is an instrument that hits at first.
In all the job positions and places where I worked like the RTV Slovenia Symphony orchestra, Monenegrin Symphony orchestra , Samsun Opera and Ballet orchestra ( Turkey ) her violin identifies itself distinctly in penetrating sound and well balanced sound among strings. It is very comfortable to play in her violin fact that gives confidence to play freely and perform best as violinist.
Now I am a professor of violin in the State Conservatory of Ankara and I had the opportunity to play a few recital concerts, among congratulations of the public there were people who asked me whether the violin on which I am playing is an old Italian instrument.
It is lucky that in our days there is a luthier like Katharina to whom I wish health and long life.

β β β β β A wonderful violin maker. Iβm an American college student about to graduate with my degree in music and Katharinaβs violin has been with me the whole way. I bought it when it was just a few months old and the sound only improved with time. Her instruments have a sweet but strong core and plenty of projection. Katharina herself is an honest and skilled maker who employs the traditional Cremonese methods of violin making; the quality of her instruments speak for themselves. If you have any interest in purchasing a modern instrument with an old soul, I highly recommend her shop!

Katharina cares about every detail and takes a very individual approach to the needs and preferences of each musician. Itβs a true pleasure to visit her atelier!
