Inizialmente in forma semplice, tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo fu arricchita con stuccature ed aggiunte varie anche in stile barocco, rispondenti ai gusti e allo stile dei tempi successivi. Si sa che lo stuccatore napoletano Stefano Langetta ha lavorato in Basilicata nella prima metà del XVIII secolo. C'è chi pensa che gli stucchi, soprastanti al vecchio stile della chiesa-Convento di Tito, possano attribuirsi al suddetto Langetta o a qualche suo discepolo.
