★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il convento dei Frati cappuccini si trova in una piccola altura situata nel borgo di Santa Margherita Ligure.
La struttura venne consacrata nel 1633.
L'esterno é in stile romanico, con fasce alterne di marmo bianco e nero; al centro un bellissimo rosone.
L'interno é ad unica navata, a pianta longitudinale, in stile seicentesco.
Le caratteristiche che rendono magnifica questa chiesa sono:
- l'arredo in legno tipico dell'ordine cappuccino;
- il disegno in terra dato dai sassi esternamente;
- il mosaico sopra il protiro dell'entrata;
- la vista panoramica.
Ingresso: libero.
Orari: 7:00-19:30.
The convent of the Capuchin Friars is located in a small hill located in the village of Santa Margherita Ligure.
The structure was consecrated in 1633.
The exterior is in Romanesque style, with alternating bands of black and white marble; in the center a beautiful rose window.
The interior has a single nave, with a longitudinal plan, in the seventeenth-century style.
The features that make this church magnificent are:
- the wooden furniture typical of the Capuchin order;
- the earth drawing given by the stones externally;
- the mosaic above the entrance porch;
- the panoramic view.
Free admission.
Hours: 7: 00-19: 30.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sono una catechista e ho portato i miei bimbi a visitare il giardino dei frati dove abbiamo fatto una lezione di catechismo. La vista è stupenda, il giardino molto bello e curato, ci sono delle rose molto belle e due statue una di Maria e l'altra del frate . Padre Rocco è stato gentilissimo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il convento, che risale al XVII secolo (1608), fu confiscato da Napoleone che soppresse anche l’ordine francescano ma nel 1822, sotto il Regno di Sardegna, la chiesa riaprì al culto.
La facciata richiama i "colori" di molte chiese liguri e toscane, mentre pregevole è il panorama dal terrazzo antistante la chiesa, mentre è da apprezzare all’interno una scultura in marmo risalente al XII secolo e che raffigura la Madonna in trono, opera (forse) di uno scultore francese ed un crocifisso in legno del XV secolo.
The convent, which dates back to the 17th century (1608), was confiscated by Napoleon who also suppressed the Franciscan order but in 1822, under the Kingdom of Sardinia, the church reopened for worship.
The facade recalls the "colors" of many Ligurian and Tuscan churches, while the panorama from the terrace in front of the church is valuable, while inside a marble sculpture dating back to the 12th century and depicting the Madonna enthroned, work ( perhaps) by a French sculptor and a wooden crucifix from the 15th century.
