★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived the previous Friday evening before the planned unloading on Monday. I checked in, asked if I can unload already on Friday, or, if not, can I stay for the weekend in the company's parking lot. The gatekeeper lady was very friendly and helpful (I speak passable Italian) and told me, after a phone call, yes, I can unload. She told me, I can use the toilet, shower, coffee vendor machine anytime.
After unloading I spent my break outside in the truck parking. Saturday morning I felt the 'nature's calling', and I was going to the entry building, asking, if I can use the facility. Instead of the friendly lady, I found her male colleague, who sent me away, 'tutti chiusi!'.
So, my friend driver colleagues, if you intend to spent your overnight break, be prepared with a good and big enough plastic bag. This is Europe, 2021, tolerance, humanity, acceptance.
Anyway, thanks for that friendly woman for her kindness.
