★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorge, in parte sul sito del Monastero delle monache Benedettine (Badia), edificato nel XVII secolo e ceduto al comune nel 1898. La costruzione del Municipio, sindaco Paolo Ferla di Tristaino, fu iniziata nel 1908 su progetto dell’Ing. Polini, collaborato dall’Ing. Portuesi (palazzolese). L’imponente edificio ha una complessiva struttura architettonica classica, ma negli intagli decorativi risente della moda “liberty”.
It rises partly on the site of the Benedictine Nuns Monastery (Badia), built in the seventeenth century and sold to the municipality in 1898. The construction of the Town Hall, mayor Paolo Ferla di Tristaino, was begun in 1908 on a project by Eng. Polini, collaborated by Eng. Portuesi (Palazzolese). The imposing building has an overall classical architectural structure, but in the decorative carvings it is influenced by the "liberty" fashion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piazza del Popolo è dominata dalla Cattedrale di San Sebastiano, ma vi si affaccia anche un'altra importante costruzione: il Municipio di Palazzolo Acreide. E non sfigura affatto. Possiede due ampi porticati e, poco oltre il portone d'ingresso, si trovano, appesi alle pareti, dei pannelli, che illustrano alcune delle bellezze della città.
Piazza del Popolo is dominated by the Cathedral of San Sebastiano, but there is also another important building: the Town Hall of Palazzolo Acreide. And it doesn't look bad at all. It has two large arcades and, just beyond the entrance door, there are panels hanging on the walls, which illustrate some of the beauties of the city.
