Consiglio una scampagnata in montagna nella zona di Monte di mezzo e una cena a base di arrosticini e tartufo locale Mountain village in the upper Molise. I recommend a picnic in the mountains in the Monte di mezzo area and a dinner based on kebabs and local truffles

Peccato che sia passato sotto la distruzione folle dei tedeschi che, nella seconda guerra mondiale, han pensato bene di raderlo al suolo. Ad oggi nessun governo tedesco ha mai chiesto scusa per le barbarie perpetrate in questo luogo e ai suoi abitanti. Abitanti che hanno saputo ricostruire un ambiente sano ma dolorante, le ferite non si sono mai rimarginate. Tuttavia un rimprovero al sindaco di questo paese andrebbe fatto. Ha rimosso una fontana storica, bellissima, da una zona di alta affluenza per metterla al centro di una rotonda dove per accedervi si deve attraversare la strada in ogni lato della stessa... Ma è folle! A volte ci si domanda come possa l'essere umano partorire certe idee, ma poi ci si ricorda che non tutti siamo degli Albert Einstein,me compreso. Beautiful mountain village in Molise. He removed a beautiful historic fountain from a busy area to place it in the center of a roundabout where you have to cross the street on each side of it to access it ... But that's crazy! L' ho visitato nei primi giorni di novembre in occasione della sagra del tartufo bianco, un prodotto pregiato e utilizzato in molte pietanze. È stata una sagra bella, semplice, paesana con stand gastronomici tipici e spettacoli in strada. Essendo autunno inoltrato abbiamo ammirato lo spettacolo naturale del foliage; i caldi colori delle foglie ci hanno offerto uno spettacolo suggestivo...fiabesco. Per i camperisti è possibile utilizzare un' area di sosta illuminata, comoda e tranquilla all'ingresso del paese. È gratuita e offre carico, scarico e corrente elettrica. It is a small and charming village located between Isernia and Castel di Sangro, surrounded by maple and beech forests. I visited it in the first days of November on the occasion of the white truffle festival, a precious product used in many dishes. It was a beautiful, simple, country festival with typical food stands and street shows. Being late autumn we admired the natural spectacle of the foliage; the warm colors of the leaves offered us a suggestive show ... fairytale. For campers it is possible to use an illuminated, comfortable and quiet parking area at the entrance to the town. It is free and offers loading, unloading and electricity.
