★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visitare San Leo è come fare un salto nel passato, le stanze del castello piccole e basse, un susseguirsi di corridoi e scale, sentivo ancora gli schiamazzi dei soldati nell’osteria. Nella torre salire per 100 gradini ne vale la pena, arrivare in cima e trovarsi un panorama da togliere il fiato, chissà quante guardie o sentinelle avranno ammirato tale paesaggio. Il rintocco delle campane, assordante ed emozionante. Una di queste è addirittura del tempo di San Francesco.
Visiting San Leo is like taking a leap into the past, the rooms of the castle are small and low, a succession of corridors and stairs, I could still hear the cries of the soldiers in the tavern. Climbing 100 steps in the tower is worth it, getting to the top and finding yourself a breathtaking view, who knows how many guards or sentries will have admired this landscape. The tolling of the bells, deafening and exciting. One of these is even from the time of San Francesco.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful, pacefull Italian town with a great history behind it. Worth visiting. A huge fortress above the town is open too. Information Centre is located on the main square. Shuttle bus is available but check the timetable. One ride costs 1€.
