Il comune si erge attorno alla sua antica rocca, sulla sommità di una collina e dista 15 km dal centro di Ancona. La Rocca di Offagna, edificata nel 1454, è il principale monumento cittadino e una delle opere difensive più importanti dei Castelli di Ancona. Interessanti il Museo della Rocca, il Museo di scienze naturali e il Museo della Liberazione di Ancona, al cui interno è presente una ricca collezione di armi e foto documentanti l'arrivo delle truppe alleate nella città dorica e la sua liberazione dalle truppe tedesche. Comune molto attivo, ben organizzato e molto visitato dai turisti. Gli abitanti del luogo sono molto ospitali e la cucina locale ottima. a	alisei. net on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Offagna è un borgo di origine medioevale che si erge su una collina di arenaria a circa 300mt di altitudine dominato dal suo edificio piu rappresentativo, la Rocca. Il borgo esterno non offre un contesto particolarmente interessante, pur mantenendo un impianto tipicamente medievale, gli edifici privati sono stati ristrutturati con stili e materiali che hanno poco di medievale, i pochi vicoli non entusiasmano il visitatore. Il punto di vero interesse è il borgo più antico che si sviluppa sulla sommità della collina racchiuso dalle alte mura di cinta in cui spicca la Rocca. La fortezza, edificata tra il 1454 e il 1456 (quindi realizzata in soli due anni) si presenta ben conservata nella sua struttura architettonica attuale e rappresenta un bel esempio di costruzione militare del tempo. Alta, compatta nelle forme, dotata di possenti mura e con ampia merlatura ghibellina su cui emerge l'alta torre di avvistamento. La cura complessiva del borgo lascia un po' a desiderare, la pulizia non è delle migliori, la rete area di distribuzione elettrica e telefonica (un problema in tutti i borghi) qui appare fuori controllo, troppe le auto in circolazione e parcheggiate spesso senza regole. Nonostante questo il borgo merita una visita. The overall care of the village leaves something to be desired, the cleaning is not the best, the electrical and telephone distribution area network (a problem in all the villages) here appears out of control, too many cars in circulation and often parked without rules . Despite this, the village is worth a visit.

Ho apprezzato molto i musei, il parco cui si accede attraverso un tunnel e in cui si conservano cimeli della Seconda guerra mondiale, il camminamento intorno alle mura, la vista mozzafiato, i dolci di un forno/pasticceria in centro, gli addobbi particolari e strani alle finestre tra cui varie mongolfiere, la disponibilità di parcheggi e le bellissime chiese. Che dire? Andate e visitate Offagna. Racconta una storia che rappresenta le radici del nostro mondo moderno. Ne vale la pena!!" A beautiful village in which to stroll to discover the Middle Ages.
