Il terremoto ha pesato tantissimo sulla vita dei cittadini, attratti dalle nuove case fuori le mura, anche per i minori costi. Con una continua cura, oggi il borgo è bello da percorrere e offre luoghi e scorci stupendi. L

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La sede del municipio in Via dei Mille è chiusa dal 2009 a seguito del terremoto che ha scosso l'Abruzzo.
L'incuria pregiudica fortemente la riapertura a breve.
Via Cavour che conduce da P.zza Mazzini direttamente al municipio è chiusa da aprile 2020 a seguito di un incendio che ha reso uno degli edifici, già transennato, pericolante.
