★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Molto curato, molto pulito, ben organizzato , caratteristico per le sue viuzze e piazzette, si respira aria di pace e tranquillita', ben attrezzati i portoccioli e caratteristici i locali dove al lungo lago si possono bere dei drink o fare degli spuntini o addirittura gustare un ottimo pranzetto a base di prodotti locali. Nelle vicinanze si trovano atri piccoli comuni del Vatesotto che rsoecchiano le stesse condizioni lontano dai centri urbani molto grossi che al contrario sono caotici .

Very well-kept, very clean, well organized, characteristic for its alleys and squares, you can breathe an air of peace and tranquility, well-equipped portccioli and characteristic places where you can have drinks or snacks or even enjoy along the lake an excellent lunch based on local products. Nearby there are other small municipalities of the Vatesotto that rsoecchiano the same conditions away from the very large urban centers that on the contrary are chaotic.
A beautiful area.

Consiglio per raggiungere 5 stelle: pubblicare anche gli allegati dei singoli provvedimenti (per esempio la documentazione integrale dei progetti approvati)
Fairly transparent municipality, as all the decisions / resolutions (with integral provisions) remain available for consultation in the appropriate section of the transparent administration. Tip for achieving 5 stars: also publish the attachments of the individual measures (for example the complete documentation of approved projects)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the small town where the European Commission Joint Research Center is located, a place where half of the staff is comprised by contractors, hence many foreign people who don't speak Italian live in that area.
In such a multinational environment it is very sad to see that only two or three people who work at the Comune can actually communicate in English. Here is a Google translated extract of the response I got when I sent them an email about a personal issue: "... so please be accompanied by someone who speaks Italian when you come to our office".
I would like to learn to speak italian very quickly and not to drag someone who does everytime I have to visit you for some task, so I suggest you organise some free language classes for foreigners, as it happens in almost every self-respecting town in the EU.
