★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grassano è un piccolo comune lucano della provincia di Matera (città dei Sassi), situato su una collina tra il fiume Basento e Bradano, sulla direttrice geografica ed equidistante, dalla città di Potenza e di Matera. Ha una portata economica di sussistenza ed è abbastanza accogliente. Non svetta per siti di grande interesse storico ma, si difende, essendo stato sede privilegiata dei cavalieri dell'Ordine Gerosolimitano. Da segnalare il percorso dei "Cinti" e la Chiesa Matrice, dalla quale si gode di un bel paesaggio lucano, seppur condizionato dalle onnipresenti pale eoliche. Sarebbe auspicabile un maggior ordine urbanistico e più cura nei prospetti esterni delle abitazioni.
Grassano is a small town in Basilicata province of Matera (city of the Sassi), located on a hill between the Basento and Bradano rivers, on the geographic and equidistant direction, from the city of Potenza and Matera. It has an economic subsistence and is quite welcoming. It does not stand out for sites of great historical interest but, it defends itself, having been the privileged seat of the knights of the Gerosolimitano Order. To note the path of the "Cinti" and the Chiesa Matrice, from which you can enjoy a beautiful Lucan landscape, albeit conditioned by the ubiquitous wind turbines. A greater urban order and more care in the external facades of the houses would be desirable.
