Very friendly staff, easy parking and a good price/quality ratio. Be aware, the fuel is not included in the price (which was already clear for me but apparently not for everyone). I can definitely recommend everybody to rent a boat here. Just make sure to book the boat online upfront because in the high season, they are very popular.

When I decided my wife and I would spend a long weekend in Lake Como the first thing I wanted to do was rent a boat for the weekend. We are avid boaters back home in Newport Beach, CA. We own a 40’ sportfisher and assumed we would have no issue renting a boat once we got to Italy. Turns out in Italy they require a special license to rent anything over a 40hp. I did not want to drive around on a small slow boat so decided we should rent a big boat with a hired captain. I spent time googling and looking for different options. When I found Comolakeboats / Lake Como TaxiBoats I was a bit nervous at first. I saw two negative reviews on Facebook. I decided to contact them anyways. Out of all of the places I reached out to I found this place easiest to deal with. They were extremely responsive, courteous and spoke great English. I decided to give them a try. My wife and I went with the 30’ Blu Murano. It looked beautiful in the pictures and appeared to be plenty fast, comfy and spacious. The booking process was very easy and the captain picked us up right from our dock at the Casta Diva Resort. The captain Massimo was very friendly, knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. He took us allllll around Lake Como. Showed us some of the most amazing places. He had so much knowledge about what we were seeing. He took us to see George Clooney’s estate, two places where they filmed Casino Royale, a great little hidden gem for lunch followed by an anchor in a quiet cove where we could swim and relax. After that we were headed back to our hotel but first had a stop and this hidden waterfall. It was truly magical. This absolutely was the highlight of our trip and we definitely recommend using this company for your boat rental/tour needs.

Great place to rent a boat, and awesome boating on the Como lake! We would like to recommend this place a lot, friendly service and good explanation,If you are in the neighbourhood do not hesitate,just do it !!

After reading some of the reviews, we were a bit cautious, but everything went very well. We had a complete new boat, which was very complete and easy to use. The explanation from the guys was very good. We had the boat for 4 hours and used 72 litres of petrol, which was about what was estimated we would use. The deposit was returned in 3 days.

Fantastic service. Friendly staff. Explained everything clearly, both in terms of the renting process and also the operation of the boat. We would definitely come back again!

We read some of the reviews and were skeptical but we booked a smaller boat that doesn’t require a license on the day before. Per email asked for a confirmation and got it quickly. The boat was ready when we arrived, the gas meter didn’t work but the guys were very open and showed us the tank and told us to take pictures of the engine before leaving. The experience was very good and the staff super helpful! Read the contract and ask all the questions you need before leaving plus use your common sense and I’m sure the experience will be great for you too! :-)

We rent a very nice Boot in August 2021. Service was good and professionell but at the end of the tour we were disappointed. The guy at the pier cheated us by writing a higher fuel (30€ I guess) usage than actuel. We decided not to make any trouble since we had a sunny day and considered the additional charge as a gratuity.
