Cantina a conduzione familiare. Torneremo sicuramente.
Family-run winery. Very warm welcome from Giulia and her mom, who did their best to make us spend half an hour pleasantly, before starting the tasting tour, waiting for other late guests to arrive. We bought some wine in bulk and we were told in detail how to take care of it in the months to come, before being able to serve it bottled at the table. We will definitely be back.

Looking for a way to end our trip with a visit to the Prosecco region, we stumbled upon the Col del Lupo winery during our Google search of various wine tastings. The program that Giulia and Col del Lupo offered stood out to us because of their Little Sommelier program, which is a great family activity for both adults and children. We are a family of four, with a 16 year old boy and 10 year old girl. Originally thinking that our kids would be on their phones during the experience, instead we were pleasantly surprised by how inclusive Giulia was, and that the experience was for both kids and adults. First taking a tour of the winery and facility, Giulia explained how they produce the different types of Prosecco through explaining each step of the process in detail, from the picking of the grapes to the bottling of the wine. Afterwards, we were brought inside where we began to play a game by guessing various scents from covered cups, something which would get the whole family involved. Both our children had a wonderful time playing the game, and it even got a little competitive. Giulia explained the little Sommelier program stemmed from the idea that in the modern day we are always focused on sight instead of smell, this is a little game that can teach us to take in the little details, and to not just rely on sight. After the game the children were treated to homemade dishes by Giulia’s mother and various cheeses and cured meat from local producers. During this time, while the children were enjoying the food, we started wine tasting. Giulia explained the difference between mass-produced Prosecco and Prosecco from independent wineries, as well as the different types of Prosecco, how they’re supposed to be paired, traditions and innovations, and the history behind Prosecco wine as a whole. We loved all the different types of Prosecco we tasted and ended up ordering 6 bottles to ship back to the States. After the tour, Giulia gave local restaurant recommendations, locations of panoramic viewpoints of the rolling hills of vineyards, and the information to some of the meat and cheese producers. Overall the experience that you get here is something that you will never receive from large wineries. Giulia made us feel right at home and kept everyone in mind during our tour. Despite being underage, our son paid attention to the explanations as well and was both entertained and informed during the tour. We highly recommend anyone in the region to book a tour, as it will be an unforgettable experience.

We’ve visited wineries in the region twice now, and our visit to Col de Lupo was by far the highlight of both trips! An intimate family winery, we were given a special glimpse into life running the vineyard. We started with a tour of the facilities where everything was explained so well, and they kindly and enthusiastically answered all of our questions. The prosecco vineyard has been in the family for decades, and you can truly tell how passionate they are to share with visitors. We then moved into the main house for the tasting, which felt so elegant yet cozy and welcoming. We were welcomed with homemade breads and treats made by the family. Each Prosecco we tasted was distinct and delicious, where we learned about the process, tradition, modernity, etc. It was clear the attention to detail and true passion to share their winery and its history with visitors. They made us feel so at home, and I would highly recommend to anyone to stop at Col de Lupo. It was by far our favorite part of our visit to the region. They were passionate about the wine, the history, and sharing it - all delivered in perfect English (thank you!). We walked away with quite a few bottles and can’t wait for our next visit. They truly made us feel like family!
