★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I live in Siena and I know Brunello very well. I brought my American girlfriend here and she loved it! It was an incredible and unique experience for both of us. She got to see how one of the best wines in the world is made and she'll have an amazing memory of Tuscany for the rest of her life. It was very interesting for me as well. Since I was born and grew up in Siena, I thought that I already knew the wine making process, but I saw and learned many new things I didn't know. Definitely a place worth visiting and a wine worth drinking!!! Absolutely our favorite

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They had double booked us with some an Italian couple and the guide wanted us to rebook at first. This was not possible because we were leaving the next day and therefore she decided to take both couples on the tour. She seemed less than happy about it and really arrogant in general.
During the tour she started speaking 50/50 English and Italian, but after a while it was closer to 10% English and 90% Italian. We felt very left out and commented on it, thats when she exploded.
She went off on a deranged rant about how we had insulted her and was not interested in wine.
It was completelybizarre situation and we tried to calm her down.
She later was remorseful but her apologies were not sincere.
My advice for you is to avoid this winery like the plague and take any of the other great ones in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Winery was beautiful! Staff (Nicola) was great! Wine was less appealing. Distinct taste that may set will with others but not with me. More mass produced (even though they say medium production). Think there are probably better places to visit, especially in that area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried one of their wines in a restaurant. As we drove pass we wanted to visit the winery since we had enjoyed the wine. The arrival is easy and the place is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately this was not the case for the reception. We went inside the shop, where 3 people were having a tasting and were hardly even acknowledged. A part from greeting back, we were standing there without any further comment. We can understand that was entertaining other people, but some warm greeting and information wouldn’t have hurt. At the end of the day you’re coming here for a reason and you’re a potential client, that’s not our idea of good service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor welcome ans tasting ..we were in the area to taste and buy some Brunello we stopped at the col d orcia shop the man did not welcome us we had to ask to taste we were told we can only taste one (the entry level) I guess the others we should blindly buy them without tasting (75 euros min price ) we were served a drop of wine without any comment. We went away without tasting …that’s the worse experience in the area totally useless …

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely wine tour here this morning! Our host was really nice, explained us all the story of the wines and served us the tasting of 4 different wines for 30€. We really liked seeing the cellars and understanding the production method. Our group was late on arrival and they were very accomodating which was very nice. I think it’s important to make a reservation if you want to do the tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful place. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get on a tour since it was fully booked, so I've just visited the wine shop. It has pretty massive offering and reasonable prices.
Note: the lady in the shop does not speak any English.
