Sembrava le facessi un favore a comprare da lei. Difatti, le altre scarpe le ho acquistate altrove, dove, peraltro, mi hanno trattata con la gentilezza e la cortesia che ci si attende in un negozio d'abbigliamento.
The choice is not as great as they say. Besides, a shoe got stained with a pen and the lady told me to buy them and clean them from me at home. Bah. It seemed like I did her a favor to buy from her. In fact, I bought the other shoes elsewhere, where, however, they treated me with the kindness and courtesy that is expected in a clothing store.
