Un’esperienza da vivere da mattina a sera, da decenni, ogni ultima domenica di ottobre. Dalla sagra del maiale alle specialità gastronomiche salentine e non solo. Grande esposizione di mezzi agricoli e bancarelle di ogni genere ma sono gli alimenti a farla da padrone. Un incontro tra cultura, tradizioni e innovazione tutto improntato sulle esperienze culinarie tramandate nel tempo che raccontano storie del crocevia di culture che è il Salento. L’omaggio a San Vito che è anche protettore del piccolo comune avviene nella cripta a lui dedicata.
San Vito regional fair in Ortelle, a small town in the province of Lecce, a few kilometers from Castro. An experience to be lived from morning to evening, for decades, every last Sunday in October. From the pig festival to the Salento gastronomic specialties and beyond. Great exhibition of agricultural vehicles and stalls of all kinds but it is the food that reigns supreme. An encounter between culture, traditions and innovation all based on culinary experiences handed down over time that tell stories of the crossroads of cultures that is Salento. The homage to San Vito who is also the protector of the small town takes place in the crypt dedicated to him.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANY COUNTRY THAT LOOKS BADLY WHO COMES FROM OUTSIDE AFTER 9 MONTHS I HAVE SOLD THE HOUSE AND HAVE RUN AWAY TALKING ABOUT THE HISTORICAL CENTER. GO TO UMBRIA THERE ARE NO COMPARISONS
