Da segnalare è l'interessante Museo di Arte Sacra, ospitato nella ex chiesa di San Bernardino, che il parroco Don Alberto ha letteralmente allestito con le sue forze. Un piccolo nucleo antico arrampicato sul cucuzzolo di un colle tra i boschi e le faggete dell'Appennino. Insignificante la parte moderna con molte case edificate circa 30 anni fa all'epoca del suo boom turistico. Simpatiche e antiche le atmosfere del borgo. Interessanti alcuni piccoli negozi gestiti ancora dalle anziane vivaci proprietarie come il forno i cui saporiti biscotti venduti dalla immarcescibile Antonietta possono rientrare, secondo la affettuosa e sorridente definizione di alcuni affezionati clienti, nel "patrimonio UNESCO" Small town on the border of the Frosinone border with Abruzzo. Vicino a località sciistiche consente soggiorni e villeggiature piacevoli di lunga durata. Wonderful ❗? At 1000 meters on the Simbruini mountains, an enchanting and peaceful village of other times. B	Bernardino Monticelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paese molto famoso negli anni 80-90 che ha visto poi il turismo diminuire fino quasi a scomparire per via della sempre più agguerrita concorrenza di mete più attrezzate, che offrono maggiori attrattive a prezzo molto competitivo. Ha avuto un periodo di "risveglio" negli ultimi anni e questo mi ha reso molto felice, passando così da paese morente a paese che rinasce. Sono state fatte molte opere di riqualifica in generale, ci sono state molte iniziative della Proloco e del Comune e altre attività -anche spontanee- che hanno saputo rianimare e dare nuova vita al Paese. Purtroppo la recente pandemia non ha favorito questo trend positivo, che spero possa riprendere presto e far bene a questo paese che merita davvero di essere vissuto appieno in tuta la sua bellezza. La differenza rispetto agli altri paese é che qui tu non sei in montagna, sei NELLA montagna, nei fai parte e puoi godere di panorami bellissimi che circondano questo Paese, che ha una sua storia e un suo borgo antico da visitare (ci sarebbero anche tante storie locali da raccontare, consiglio una guida ce ne sono diverse disponibili per escursioni di tutti i tipi). Inutile dire quanto siano belli i parchi che circondano Filettino, é un paese da amare e vivere tutto l'anno ed é un Paese che vuole crescere e andare avanti nonostante le sue difficoltà (tanto per dirne una tante case e pochi residenti non é mai una situazione facile da gestire, purtroppo). Un po' complicata la situazione della stazione sciistica che ha visto degli di alti e bassi in questi anni, ma sembra che anche qui si stia uscendo da un periodo infelice che probabilmente non ha fatto bene al buon nome di Campo Staffi, che sta a 20 minuti da Filettino. Incrociamo le dita :) Immancabili alcune soste nei locali e nei bar del posto, quando venite fate scorta di prodotti locali perché la genuinità da queste parti non manca. The difference compared to other countries is that here you are not in the mountains, you are IN the mountains, you are part of and you can enjoy beautiful views that surround this country, which has its own history and its ancient village to visit (there would also be many local stories to tell, I recommend a guide there are several available for excursions of all kinds). Needless to say, how beautiful the parks that surround Filettino are, it is a country to love and live all year round and it is a country that wants to grow and move forward despite its difficulties (just to name a lot of houses and few residents it is never a situation easy to manage, unfortunately). The situation of the ski resort, which has seen ups and downs in recent years, is a bit complicated, but it seems that here too we are coming out of an unhappy period that probably did not do well to the good name of Campo Staffi, which is at 20 minutes from Filettino. Fingers crossed :) A few stops in the local bars and clubs are inevitable, when you come, stock up on local products because authenticity is not lacking in these parts.
