 Typical English military cemetery. Small but well kept. Unfortunately little known.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un piccolo cimitero militare all’interno del cimitero monumentale di Savona.
Qui, segnalati da semplici ed uniformi lapidi bianche, riposano 85 caduti della SS Transylvania periti il 4/5/1917 in seguito all’attacco del sommergibile tedesco U-63 durante la prima guerra mondiale.
I nomi dei 274 dispersi sono incisi sul monumento memoriale.
L’affondamento avvenuto nei pressi di Bergeggi dove a è stata eretta una croce sugli scogli di punta Predani raggiungibile dalla via Aurelia.
A small military cemetery inside the monumental cemetery of Savona.
Here, marked by simple and uniform white gravestones, lie 85 dead of the SS Transylvania who perished on 4/5/1917 following the attack of the German submarine U-63 during the First World War.
The names of the 274 missing are engraved on the memorial.
The sinking took place near Bergeggi where a cross was erected on the rocks of Punta Predani reachable from the Via Aurelia.
