M	Michele Chiego on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Storicamente e artisticamente una delle chiese più importanti di Puglia. Edificata dai Cavalieri di Malta, è una delle poche chiese a timpano ottagonale. All'interno si possono ammirare varie tele antiche e donazioni di alcuni Commendatori dell'ex Commenda Magistrale di Maruggio. Historically and artistically one of the most important churches in Puglia. Built by the Knights of Malta, it is one of the few churches with an octagonal tympanum. Inside you can admire various ancient paintings and donations from some Commanders of the former Commenda Magistrale di Maruggio.

Insomma, un imperdibile pezzo di storia del Mediterraneo peraltro tenuta benissimo. Perfect example of the best art in the area: built by the Byzantines in the XII century, then readapted in 500. It was the magistral seat of the Order of the Templars. In short, an unmissable piece of Mediterranean history, however, kept very well.

All'interno é possibile osservare anche lo scheletro intatto di S. Costantina. A beautiful and small church in Baroque-Byzantine style typical of the area, and therefore characterized by the great use of a stone very similar to that typical of Lecce. Inside it is also possible to observe the intact skeleton of St. Constantine.

C	Cristina Mollo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa chiesa dedicata alla Natività della Vergine Maria si trova nel centro storico di Mariggio ed è stata edificata nel periodo a cavallo tra la seconda metà del Quattrocento e gli inizi del Cinquecento sui resti di una chiesa di epoca bizantina. Devo dire che interamente non me l'aspettavo così: mi hanno infatti colpito molto le colonne con capitelli riccamente scolpite su cui poggiano archi a tutto sesto.
