A	Alberto Lambertini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È il tempio in cui si venera Sant'Ilaro, patrono della città. Fu fondata come chiesa del convento dei Padri Carmelitani nel 1480. Nel 1526 vi furono collocate le reliquie e il busto argenteo di S. Ilaro (vedi infra), sotto la custodia dell'Ordine. Nel Seicento fu realizzato il chiostro. Nel Settecento si decise di ricostruire la chiesa dalle fondamenta. I lavori, su progetto dell'architetto locale Francesco Ambrogio Petrocchi, iniziarono nel 1748; la nuova chiesa fu inaugurata il 14 maggio 1772. All'interno della chiesa sono presenti alcuni dipinti di Guiduccio da Imola, tra cui una pregevole Madonna del Carmine (1481), titolare della chiesa insieme a Sant'Ilaro, una statua della Vergine (in legno di Val Gardena), nonché due organi di epoca barocca tuttora funzionanti: un grande strumento del 1799 di Gaetano Callido ed uno del Galli, su cui si esercitò il giovane Gioachino Rossini It is the temple in which Sant'Ilaro, the patron saint of the city, is venerated. It was founded as a church of the convent of the Carmelite Fathers in 1480. In 1526 there were placed the relics and the silver bust of S. Ilaro (see below), in the custody of the Order. In the seventeenth century the cloister was built. In the eighteenth century it was decided to rebuild the church from the foundations. The work, designed by the local architect Francesco Ambrogio Petrocchi, began in 1748; the new church was inaugurated on May 14th 1772. Inside the church there are some paintings by Guiduccio da Imola, including a valuable Madonna del Carmine (1481), owner of the church together with Sant'Ilaro, a statue of the Virgin (in Val Gardena wood), as well as two organs from the Baroque period still in operation: a large instrument from 1799 by Gaetano Callido and one from Galli, on which the young Gioachino Rossini practiced

E	Elpidio C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situata al centro della città, questa chiesa dedicata alla Madonna del Carmine e Sant'Ilario (patrono di Lugo) merita senza dubbio una visita. Ad un'unica navata la chiesa al suo interno ospita numerose statue e dipinti sacri, tra cui alcuni di notevole pregio. Molto bello anche l'altare principale di fianco al quale vi è una pregevole statua con la Madonna e Gesù bambino. Molto bello anche l'abside. Merita assolutamente una visita accurata. Located in the center of the city, this church dedicated to the Madonna del Carmine and Sant'Ilario (patron saint of Lugo) certainly deserves a visit. At one nave the church inside houses numerous statues and sacred paintings, including some of great value. The main altar next to which there is a fine statue with the Madonna and baby Jesus is also very beautiful. The apse is also very beautiful. Absolutely worth a careful visit.
